What is your hometown, and where do you currently live? Marion, Ohio and now Columbus, Ohio.
Where do you currently work? I am the clinical project liaison for Mount Carmel Health System’s new hospital construction project in Grove City (editor’s note – be sure to read more about Jill’s involvement in the project in the Fall 2015 issue, the Lamp).
What are some professional highlights? Over my career, I’ve enjoyed orthopedic and gerontological nursing, as well as branching into healthcare marketing and planning. For a 10-year period, I was an assisted living center owner/operator before coming back to Mount Carmel.
When did you first feel the call to be a nurse? I was in high school when I decided that nursing would be my career.
What television show do you have to DVR every week? I enjoy historical series, such as “Turn.”
What is your favorite memory of Mount Carmel? Living in the residence halls would definitely be my favorite.
How has your Mount Carmel network helped you in your life, personally or professionally or both? For the past 10 years, I’ve been active with the Mount Carmel Alumni Association board, which has allowed me to reconnect with many friends, while serving the College, students, faculty and staff.
What book is currently on your nightstand (or at the top of your Kindle favorites)? The “Outlander” series by Diana Gabaldon.
What advice would you like to share with other nurses as they move from student to alumni of Mount Carmel? Use the foundation that your Mount Carmel education gives you to launch your career in any direction you choose. You will be well-prepared for whatever comes your way.
