Recognizing Graduates
Congratulations and thank you to our graduating Library student worker Glorya Albertini. Glorya has been working at the Library since Freshman year at MCCN. She served countless students, faculty and staff with a warm smile. The Library staff wishes you all the best, Glorya! Congratulations to the entire Class of 2019!
Hope you had a Cookie
Your Library baked and served over 150 cookies at the annual Milk & Cookies event on Wednesday, April 27. Since SDAP students were on Spring Break, we baked more on Wednesday, April 3. We hope you had a chance to grab a cookie!
Food for Fines
The popular Food for Fines program returns just in time for Spring graduation. From Monday, April 15, through Friday, May 17, bring your food donation to the Library between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Remember, one food item = $3 of forgiven fines, up to $30. Only non-perishable food items are accepted – e.g. ramen noodles, canned soup, and boxed cereal. All Food for Fines donations go to the MCCN student food pantry.
Library Services to Graduating Seniors
To prepare for NCLEX, you can use Library resources as well 24/7 badge swipe access to the building for three months following graduation. If you get a job within the Mount Carmel Health System, please remember you can update from a student to staff account.
Donate Textbooks & Leisure Reading
If you are finished with textbooks or doing some Spring cleaning of paperbacks, consider donating your books to the Library. We accept gently-used textbooks (older editions welcome). Bring your donations to the Library Front Desk. Leisure books are accepted in the donation box at the Leisure Reading area. We are happy to provide you with a thank you letter acknowledging your contribution to use for tax deduction purposes.
