Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program Student
What inspired you to become a nurse?
I have always been interested in science and the human anatomy, and I love making other people happy, so I thought nursing would be the perfect career.
What is the best thing about Mount Carmel College of Nursing?
The best thing about MCCN is the small-sized classes that allow direct access and contact with the professors. You are able to connect with your professors and have that availability for one-on-one time if needed. Also, all of the staff is very helpful and kind!
What are your goals for your nursing career?
My goal is to work in the Emergency Department and eventually become a travel nurse. After that, I would like to be a Family Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Be yourself, unapologetically, and stop stressing so much! Everything will work out how it is meant to.
What advice would you give to someone considering a career in nursing?
You can do it. It may seem overwhelming and impossible at times, but I promise, if your heart is in the right place, you can do it. Work hard and don't be afraid to ask questions!
