What inspired you to become a nurse?
I have always wanted to help people, but the person who inspired me the most was my dad. All my life I was taking care of my dad due to his health problems.
What is the best thing about Mount Carmel College of Nursing?
The best thing about Mount Carmel College of Nursing is the students. I moved to Columbus on my own not knowing anyone but now I feel like I know so many people here and have even made friends!
What are your goals for your nursing career?
My goal is to start working the Emergency Department, then after a year or two decide if I want to become an air flight nurse or Nurse Practitioner.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Advice I would give my younger self is that it is not always going to be easy. There will be moments in time where you need to push yourself or stay up and keep studying.
What advice would you give to someone considering a career in nursing?
I would suggest taking a job as a PSA, MST, etc. to better your bedside manner before becoming a nurse. This can help develop a better knowledge of patient care to carry into your nursing career.
