What inspired you to become a nurse?

What brought me to nursing was the compassion and kindness it takes to become a nurse. These traits are unique to nursing as you care for people’s families in times of stress and uncertainty. To be able to have the opportunity to care for these patients is an honor and something I’ve always seen myself doing!

What is the best thing about Mount Carmel College of Nursing?

The best thing about Mount Carmel College of Nursing would be the relationships between students and professors. The class sizes are small, and often times you can have the same professor for a different class. This creates an established relationship between faculty and students and helps to facilitate individualized learning.

What are your goals for your nursing career?

My goal for my nursing career is to pursue higher education and become a nurse practitioner. I hope to use that opportunity to reach more patients and have more freedom over my practice.

What advice would you give your younger self?

I would tell my younger self to have confidence in what she’s doing!

What advice would you give to someone considering a career in nursing?

I would advise anyone who is pursuing nursing to not give up! Although nursing is a challenging field, it offers many opportunities in different areas.
