What inspired you to become a nurse?

The love I have for learning about the human mind and body and how it all works led me towards healthcare. Solidifying my decision to pursue a career in this field is all thanks to my mom who is also a nurse and my biggest inspiration in life. She is a very bright light in the world, and I strive to be that for others in all aspects of my life.

What is the best thing about Mount Carmel College of Nursing?

The small class sizes and welcoming community made my transition very smooth and are undoubtedly my favorite parts of the college. Mount Carmel feels like where I was meant to be!

What are your goals for your nursing career?

I would like to pursue a career as a CRNA after a few years as an ICU nurse. Even if I never follow through with this, I just hope that I make a positive impact in many patients lives throughout my nursing journey.

What advice would you give your younger self?

I would let my younger self know that it is better to take things on one step at a time. There’s no need to be stressing over things that aren’t happening yet or letting a large list of to do items ruin your day. Life’s little moments are meant to be enjoyed!

What advice would you give to someone considering a career in nursing?

I would encourage them to follow their dreams and to not be intimidated by the difficulty of the schooling. It can be tough but if it’s truly what you want to do it’s worth it!
