What inspired you to become a nurse?

I have many reasons for becoming a nurse. One of the main reasons is because I have had many opportunities and privileges my parents never had growing up. My parents have always taught me to treat others with respect and dignity. This made be become the person I am today—someone who cares and has compassion when caring for others, especially the vulnerable in times of need.

What is the best thing about Mount Carmel College of Nursing?

My instructors have been very helpful and have guided me the right direction when I need help with anything.

What are your goals for your nursing career?

After becoming a registered nurse, I want to work in women's health.

What advice would you give your younger self?

I would have considered enrolling into nursing school directly after high school and being more involved in healthcare settings, such as volunteering.

What advice would you give to someone considering a career in nursing?

I would say go for it! As long as you have your mind set, you can achieve anything you desire. Never give up. Most of the time sacrifices lead to success! Even if you feel like giving up just think of why you started!
