In July, Mount Carmel West welcomed its newest K9 Safety & Security officer, Valor, a two-year-old German Shepherd, to campus. Born in the Czech Republic, Valor entered training with his handler, Sgt. Tim Glenn, in June. Although he visited campus occasionally over the summer during his training, he became a full-time officer with Glenn in September once they completed their program. Not only is Valor certified in bomb detection and patrol, but he can serve as a therapy dog as well.

Mount Carmel’s K9 program was made possible through the Mount Carmel Foundation. When you see Sgt. Glenn and Valor on campus, be sure to say hello!
