Congratulations to Yuliya Fonin for being selected as MCCN’s representative to the Propel Ohio Collegiate Leadership Summit, hosted by U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown at The Ohio State University on Friday, October 16.

Propel Ohio is a one-day leadership program that seeks to promote civic engagement and inspire and empower undergraduate students to grow into civic leaders in Ohio. The event actively engages with college students on specific challenges that Ohio is currently facing, including food security, mental health and human trafficking.

The program will feature Senator Brown, guest speakers and workshop facilitators who will discuss how college students can tackle these challenges in their Ohio communities. At the end of the program, students will be able to participate in an internship fair. The internship fair will feature organizations that are tackling food security, mental health and human trafficking issues in Ohio.

Attendees were selected by event organizers from applications submitted by interested students. Congratulations, Yuliya!
