Shivani Patel, BSN, RN, CPN, Assistant Instructor, recently chaperoned her clinical group to the Ronald McDonald House. Patel and the group, including students Brooke Pregibon, Heather Roderick, Sarah Heming, Carly Bedinghaus, Alex Rasey and Katherine McClellan had the opportunity to tour the facility and bake for the families staying at the house. The trip provided the group with perspective and allowed interaction with staff, volunteers, patients and families. Patel and her group were able to interact with a patient staying on a long-term basis who illustrated the helpfulness of the Ronald McDonald House for families with loved ones at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Patel stated, “It was a very rewarding feeling to be able to contribute to an organization that has such a positive impact on patients and their families.”
