Student responses from the 2016 Washington, D.C. Mission Trip

“I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to meet a victim of human trafficking who shed so much light on this matter by sharing her personal story with us. How brave of her. This mission trip provided me the opportunity to encounter God’s heart, expand my limited perspective and become more grateful…”

“This has been a week of discernment and reflection - something I didn’t realize I needed. Drawing from the Gospel of Luke, this has been a week of education, acknowledgement of suffering and instilling hope. This week reminded me who I am and who my faith taught me to be. My heart sung interacting with those suffering with homelessness and being educated by them. I can only hope this mission trip will impact the next group to come along as it did for me.”
