Freshman student Ashleigh McNeilis spends her Monday evenings at the Gladden Community House teaching children in the Franklinton area how to swim. One fourth-grade girl, in particular, had been working extra hard to pass the swim test so that she could use the diving board. After several attempts, the girl passed the swim test and is now able to enjoy the pool to its fullest. According to Ashleigh, “It is very rewarding working with the kids and I've grown a great bond with them over the last couple months. Whether they succeed in the pool or outside of the pool, I feel like it’s my success as well.” Thank you, Ashleigh, for setting a great example to your fellow Nightingales!
