Now in its fifth year, the Interfaith Thanksgiving Prayer Service will be held on Monday, November 19, from noon to 1 p.m. in the College Lounge. Organized by Ellen O’Shaughnessy, DMin, director of Campus Ministry, and Campus Ministry students, the event will feature individuals and students representing Episcopalian, United Methodist, Roman Catholic, Jewish and Muslim traditions, who will reflect on what their faith means to them.

Each year, this event brings MCCN students, faculty and staff together to celebrate, not only Thanksgiving, but community between all faiths. The MCCN Choir will lead attendees in song and a lunch will follow the festivities.

Campus Ministry is asking for donations of warm socks, hats, gloves, underwear, blankets, tents, triple A batteries and reader glasses 2.5 and higher for the homeless as the offering. The Mount Carmel Street Medicine team will deliver the offerings to the homeless.

Thanksgiving is often seen as the “kickoff” to the holiday season. At MCCN we wish a joyful holiday to all!
