Library Annual Open House
Join the Mount Carmel Health Sciences Library for the Annual Open House, from noon to 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 7. This year’s theme , “Libraries Transform,” will showcase our collaboration with all academic departments of Mount Carmel Health System (MCHS), including Mount Carmel College of Nursing, Mount Carmel Alumni Association, MCHS Patient Care Services, physicians, Graduate Medical Education, Continuing Medical Education, and Center of Innovative Learning. Please use this opportunity to see how MCHS academia serves patients and diverse communities. The Avondale Elementary School Choir will sing a few songs to get us all in the holiday spirit. Come and enjoy some tasty treats and guest favorite, The Chocolate Fountain. The Library would like to thank the Mount Carmel Foundation for its generous contribution to support this event.
Library GoGreen Update
You may have noticed the new recycle bins on both floors of the Library. As part of our GoGreen initiative, the Library encourages you to recycle plastic, cans and paper. Please empty any liquid in containers before recycling them in order to reduce spills.
Practicing Head-to-Toe Exams
Need to practice for your upcoming head-to-toe exams? The Library has set up a hospital bed on the 3rd floor (in the former Copier Room) for you to prepare for this important assignment. Sanitizing spray is provided to clean up after each use.
Library Holiday Hours
Beginning Monday, December 19, the Library will be staffed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday for the holiday break. We will be closed December 26, in observance of Christmas Day and January 2, in observance of New Year's Day. We will resume normal hours on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
